Timetable: Start on Hanoi on Saturday and return to Hanoi on Tuesday

 Spectacular scenery and ethnic minorities of Sapa. The northwest of Vietnam is a captivating blend of dramatic landscapes and colorful hill tribes. Sapa is set in a spectacularly beautiful valley close to the border with China. Its breathtaking mountain scenery is some of the best in Asia. Ethnic minorities from many of the surrounding villages don their most colorful costumes and head for the famous Saturday market and hiking and trekking opportunities are in abundance.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Saturday)
Vietnam TripAdvisor Pick up by taxi at your hotel and transfer to the Hanoi train station to board night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.
Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa - Bac Ha Market (Sunday)
 The train arrives in Lao Cai station at around 05:30 am. Our local tour guide and transportation will pick up and drive to Bac Ha to visit traditional market. Bac Ha market is considered one of the most wonderful and colorful markets in extreme north Vietnam where thousands of local people in their traditional attires busily buy and sell the local produces. Dog, cat, pig, horse... are all on sales. This is golden opportunity to take best shots! Afternoon we will have a pleasant walk to Ban Pho village, home to flower H'mong people. Opportunity to interact with friendly local people and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Transfer back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa (B,L,D)
Day 2: Sapa Trekking (Monday)
Morning trek to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. Enjoy the breath-taking landscapes. Touring the villages and Vietnam TripAdvisor's car will transfer you back to the hotel. Overnight in Sapa (B,L,D)
 Day 3: Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi (Tuesday)
Free for the whole day. Vietnam TripAdvisor's car transfer you back to the station to take night train back to Hanoi. (B,L,D)
Upon arrival in Hanoi at about 05:30 AM on Monday, you will arrange transportation by your selves back to your hotel.
